Portfolio: PSG, With More than $25 Billion, Buys Klevu For Its AI-driven Search

PSG Equity, the U.S, buyout firm with more than $25 billion in assets, buys Klevu to create a new AI-driven search and discovery company.

Together with Klevu, a leader in AI-driven e-commerce search, and existing portfolio firm Searchspring, PSG brings AI-led product discovery, on-site search, personalization, merchandising, multi-channel product syndication, and cross-sell capabilities into a single, integrated platform rebranded as Athos Commerce.

“Bringing these leading technologies together under one roof delivers a holistic, integrated set of solutions for our shared customer base,” commented Chris Andrews, Managing Director at PSG. “We are excited to fuel Athos’ growth as it sets a new standard for innovation in ecommerce.”

Athos will combine Klevu’s advanced AI-driven technology with Searchspring’s search, merchandising, personalization, and analytics solutions.

“Joining forces with Athos is a natural next step for Klevu,” said Nilay Oza, CEO and Co-Founder of Klevu. “Our advanced AI-powered technology, and shared vision for unified personalization aligns perfectly.”
